Tempsens “MAKE IN INDIA” Thermal Camera systems for Covid 19 Fever Screening

Tempsens is the only Indian company manufacturing High end Thermal camera systems for Fever Detection application. Accuoptis brand name for Tempsens makes Thermal Camera Systems. Tempsens is the market leader in Temperature measurement since 1976.Tempsens has its own State of the art R&D, Production, Calibration and Testing facility which enabled the company to make the product with 0% Chinese components to help build an “AATMANIRBHAR BHARAT”.

Tempsens Fever Detection arsenal includes 3 exceptional devices for Human body temperature measurement, catering to needs of every sector from small scale shops and offices to High End Industries, Airports etc. The product range offers multiple features like real time temperature measurement, Audio visual alarms for Fever, Face detection, Multiple People Scanning, Data recording etc.

How does this system work?

Tempsens thermal camera based human body temperature measurement system consists of the following components.

·         Thermal Imaging camera of 384x288 pixels resolution, this is the key component of the system. A thermal camera is capable of measuring temperature of any object placed in its field of view by sensing the Infrared radiations which the object emits. Every pixel of the sensor provides temperature data which is then processed into a Thermal Image or Thermogram using software.

·         Visual camera of 2MP/4MP/5M Pixels, allows transmission of the visual image to identify the object/ person.

·         PC &Software: The camera is connected to a PC with software which processes the data from the cameras and displays the thermal, visual image and facial temperature to the user. Other than its basic functionality this software provides many other features like Temperature alarms, auto detection of face, Data storing, Region of Interest, mouse over temperature display, hot cold points etc.

·         Reference Blackbody: A reference blackbody is a constant temperature source with high emissivity which acts as a reference temperature for the thermal camera. For fever detection application a very high temperature accuracy is required (+/- 0.5°C). The thermal camera is a very sensitive instrument; with change in ambient temperatures the camera can lose its accuracy. Blackbody when placed in front of the camera provides a constant reference temperature; this input is used to correct any deviation which is caused in the camera due to ambient temperature changes so the accuracy of camera is maintained.

Tempsens Products for Fever Detection

1.      FeverSENS kiosk: This is a complete standalone solution which can be installed at entrances of Airports, train station, Malls etc. This product has a thermal camera coupled with a visual camera which is housed in an enclosure and is mounted on a kiosk. The kiosk houses a built in display, PC, Hooter, Keyboard and mouse. The system can be deployed easily it just needs a 220VAC power outlet.

Whenever a person with high body temperature comes in front of the camera, the system detects their face and records the temperature and simultaneously generates an audio visual alarm to notify the concerned authorities about the incident.

2.      FeverSENSlite: This is just a simpler version of the above model which has the same camera and software. The only difference being that instead of a kiosk this system is mounted on a wall or a tripod and then can be connected to any PC or Laptop with our software to detect individuals with elevated body temperature.

3.      LTE 384F:This is the core camera used in the FeverSENS system. This camera can also be used by itself for Fever detection application. The camera can be either mounted on a Tripod, Wall or any stand. Then similar to other systems the camera has to be connected to a PC with software to process the data and detect individuals with elevated body temperature.

These “MAKE IN INDIA” products could be directly bought from the factory itself or via online modes like GEM portal. Tempsens being an Indian company has contributed its share by donating several of these products to Hospitals and Government offices all over Udaipur district.

Right now the Indian markets for these products have been infiltrated heavily by the Chinese products and Tempsens is all set to serve the country and get rid of this dependence on China. Other than this product the company also manufactures products for Industrial, defence and surveillance applications. Visit www.tempsens.com;www.accuopt.com to learn more.

Profoundly sought-after link between Gravity and Electrical force revealed by an Indian Researcher

A technical paper published in an International Physics Journal, has presented the results of a ground-breaking research in the extremely challenging relation between Gravity and Electrical force. The results are derived from the study of space-time fabric, and are in harmony with General Theory of Relativity.

In the peer-reviewed paper, "Unification of Fundamental Forces under Normal Atmospheric Conditions", the author Devinder Dhiman, an independent researcher has described the connection of Gravitational force with Electrical Force, Strong Nuclear Force and Weak Interaction, consequently unifying them all, that too under normal atmospheric conditions.

Abdus Salam, the noble laureate in Physics stated, "From time immemorial, man has desired to comprehend the complexity of nature in terms of as few elementary concepts as possible”. This desire had led the most famous scientist of 20th century Albert Einstein to spend the last 30 years of his life on a fruitless search for a unified field theory. Same desire has been motivating countless physicists to find a theory unifying the fundamental forces.

The pioneer research organization in this field, European Council for Nuclear research (CERN), has documented on its website that at incredibly high energies, the Electrical force, Strong Nuclear force and Weak Interaction are probably the same, and there is a possibility of including Gravity at still higher energies. However, the energies involved are at least a billion times greater than particle accelerators can reach. This statement reveals the limitation to research in Unification of Fundamental forces by particle collisions, necessitating a different approach.

Following a distinct technique, for the first time in Physics, the objective of Unification of Fundamental forces has been achieved."Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better", said Einstein. "Following this mantra, consistent effort for ten years and searching deep into nature, made it possible", says Dhiman, who found the missing yoke of Gravity and Electrical force. This is his third technical paper; earlier two papers addressing the fundamental questions of physics related to Black-body Radiation and Time dilation were published in an Indian science journal.

He further informs, "This paper describes a novel concept in which the relation of space-time fabric with mass and charge of matter particles is reviewed from elementary level. The concept is developed through mathematical techniques and substantiated by comparing and equating with the standard values of mass and charge of matter particles. Relation of space-time fabric with mass and charge of matter particles provided the link between Gravity and Electrical Force. The paper is structured in an extensive mode so as to present this unique and innovative concept in a straightforward manner, for the comprehension of any person having undergraduate level of science knowledge."

The paper is published in Volume 33-Issue 3 of the 'Physics Essays', and may be downloaded from https://physicsessays.org/browse-journal-2/product/1809-12-devinder-kumar-dhiman-unification-of-fundamental-forces-under-normal-atmospheric-conditions.html

Krishna Bhati: Face of Indian education recognised at UK House of Commons

Krishna Bhati, an avid educationist, honored at 3rd Global League Institute Certification at the House of Commons, United Kingdom for her exemplary contribution in the field of education. The distinguished forum was presided over by Baroness Sandip Verma, chair of UN Women National Committee United Kingdom, member of the European Union Committee.

While addressing the forum, Mrs Krishna Bhati, Principal, then heading Maharaja Sawai Man Singh Vidyalaya said“Education must be holistic by integrating head, heart and hands as these youngsters will foster a humane society. Our children have picked up various art forms and we showcase the creativity of our children through exhibition, whether it’s blue pottery, textile designing, wood-work, sculpture-making and many such art forms”

Based in Jaipur City, a place of heritage, she conceptualized a framework called “five ‘E’s in Pre-vocational SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) classes”. As she explained, “We start with the first ‘E’ where we get the children to explore through orientation, whatever possible vocation, whatever possible craft they can relate to, and once we get them to explore various crafts we get them to exchange ideas and that gives us the second ‘E’. The third ‘E’ is for exposure to work under tutelage of various artisans where children learn how the artisans earn. Then comes the fourth ‘E’ where students pick up skills hands- on from the artisans & their work which becomes Experiential Learning. Finally, the fifth ‘E’ brings them to the point of Exhibition of their handiwork culminating into Heritage Education on the Ramp.”

She propagates heritage art as an essential component of Skilling India through vocational education in schools. Her expertise lies in integrating various art forms into mainstream school education.

Umeed Project – Ray of hope during pandemic, helped 40948 families so far

On 25th of March, 2020, India saw herself going into a hitherto unheard of nationwide lockdown mode. This step by the Indian Government (albeit a correct and necessary measure) led to uncertainty amongst the majority of people. India, with its humongous unorganized sector, saw a mass exodus of migrant workers, the homeless, and the less privileged, and the spread of rampant confusion amongst them; the scope of this was unimaginable even for the Government.

In such uncertain circumstances, our organization, UMEED Project - an initiative started by Amir Siddiqui (Founder) in coalition of NGOs like Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, BSM, QasidFoundation, and BNS amongst others - started working as a Covid19 Food SOS resource to assist the Government in providing aid to all those affected by the lockdown.Umeed Project took up the task of providing food kits and other essentials to the homeless, internally displaced, daily wage laborers, women, children, the elderly citizens, widows, ragpickers, and commercial sex workers.

The team of Umeed Project came together, with volunteers joining in from various walks of life, to provide emergency relief kits that included packed food, ration, sanitary pads, essential medicines, masks, and emergency cash. A kit of 1 Week’s worth of supplies cost around INR 550 ($7) and the ones that would suffice for 3 weeks went up to INR 1650 ($23). With emergency calls for rations pouring in from migrant workers, daily wagers, disabled people, the homeless, within the first days of the lockdown, Umeed Project volunteers started responding to calls for aid all across Delhi. Arranging for funds became the need of the hour, as the team diversified its mission to help anyone and everyone in need all over the city. It was around this time that Umeed Project joined hands with an NGO run by a fellow organizer, Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (FPA), and started raising funds on Milaap.org, with the volunteers reaching out to their personal contacts to raise donations alongside their usual work of responding to emergency calls for help.

Umeed Project has been addressing the Covid19 Food SOS with:

1.       A fundraiser on milaap.org to raise necessary donations to help provide the aforementioned emergency relief kits to the most vulnerable and underprivileged families.

2.      Distribution of the kits to each family with the help of 250 on-ground local volunteers with curfew passes.

3.      Community Kitchens that are set up at Mithapur, Badarpur and Sadar Bazar that serve lunch and dinner to 1000 people each

4.      Liaison with government authorities to identify the vulnerable families and provide relief for them. For example, the trans-Yamuna case of 5000 homeless people

5.      CSR grants to help with the allocation of resources across Delhi

6.      Spreading awareness of Covid19 prevention, social distancing, and hunger relief

7.      Partnerships with a network of NGOs in the Delhi Relief Collective to effectively manage the hunger crisis

To date, the Umeed Project team has managed to provide relief to 40,000+ families in 43 regions of Delhi, with 376,000+ cooked meals, 3 community kitchens, and rations that last for a week, and keep continuing to do so every day.

Umeed Project has also collaborated with 100+ artists to bring a varied number of online fundraisers to the homes of potential donors — that includes the musical fraternity supported Artists for a Cause, the series on Mental Health Awareness Pause for a Cause, and the more recent E-Mehfil supported by poets, actors, writers, and musicians ShayaranaUmeed.  Through these 3 initiatives alone, Umeed Project has raised over 1 lac in donations and strives to do more through the coming months.

Within the last two months, with COVID cases on the rise in the country, Umeed Project has provided a sustainable method of employment to underserved women by building its first women-led fabrication center to manufacture PPE kits, and also runs centers of free medical aid and free education for their children. The goal is to build at least one such center in every city in India by the end of March 2021 and then expanding to towns, giving a continual form of income to migrant families across India.

Investment in gold and mutual funds will reap maximum profits for your investment in 2020-2021

Equity mutual funds are your best bet if you are in for the long haul investment during this Covid19 pandemic” says, Strategist and Analyst Hirav Shah, from Hirav Shah Astro strategists consultancy. A financial sand investment strategy company working with clients from across India and globally.

The eternal confusion of whether to invest in gold or mutual funds has become even more interesting in 2020. Covid19 pandemic has caused loss of jobs, startups to shut down, multiple business sectors facing an all-time low. But most of all, it has changed priorities. So, what should be your investment priority?

According to industry experts there are some Interesting facts that the investor should keep in mind. Investing in gold can be either in physical form, sovereign gold bonds (SGBs) or gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). Out of these SGBs provide interest as well as price appreciation. Gold prices have surged a record 36% since the beginning of this year and crossed Rs.56,000. As an asset class, gold funds have no default or credit risk. And After the economic crises, gold was the first asset to bounce back in both 2001 and 2008.

Whereas, food mutual funds on the other hand, according to industry experts, Mutual funds have many broad classifications; so, either regular or direct, equity or debt, sector wise divisions, SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) or lumpsum, and more. Some of the best performing mutual funds have given marvelous annualized returns like 21% for Franklin India Taxshield fund since inception and 13% in the last 10 years. 20% of Mutual funds beat the market in 5 years.

And It is a myth that mutual funds are only for long term. Short term investments can also be made. Although ‘time in’ the market is more important that timing the market in case of mutual funds.

According to Astro Strategist Hirav Shah, your investment in 2020 should be based on the time period you wish to stay invested. “So, whether you are a short-term contender or a horse  for the long race, here are your options include, Gold investment. It is a better choice for short term as of now. Gold prices are upwards of 56K INR and will show 10-15% rise in the next two months. The period till Diwali is beneficial as gold prices are expected to touch 65-68K. Thereafter the prices will show decline.” Said Mr Hirav Shah.

According to him, Mutual funds are not suggested for the short term in current scenario.  “markets are volatile, which works in favour of gold. And with the US Election on the horizon, the volatility will remain with severe ups and downs for the stock markets.” He added.

Equity mutual funds are your best bet if you are in for the long haul. History shows that after any economic crises, there is a sharp rise in the markets and that rally is definitely, worth staying invested for. “Over the years, the gains overshadow the losses. You will not only beat inflation but get record returns as well.’ Said experts.

According to Hirav Shah, “2020 is the ‘Year of Gold’.

2021 will be the ‘Year of Mutual Funds’ and both options can prove very lucrative for the investors. So, stay positive, choose wisely and grow your money! May there be a lot of money in your bank account”.

ROI Institute India releases Benchmarking Report 2019 on the world’s most preferred evaluation system

Measuring the gains provided by its programs against credible and relevant data is vital to any organization. For over 30 years, ROI Methodology® has been the number one choice for organizations worldwide to evaluate the impact & ROI of their projects and initiatives. To better understand the usage of ROI Methodology® in real-world scenarios, ROI Institute® conducted a detailed survey. The results of this survey are now available through the ROI Benchmarking Report 2019.

The ROI Benchmarking Report 2019 offers insights into the current trends with details on all aspects involved in developing a successful and beneficial ROI practice in any organization. Through this Benchmarking Report, ROI Institute® and their India partner ROI Institute India provide a glimpse into the usage and trends surrounding the ROI Methodology®. Using the report, prospective and even existing ROI Professionals will be able to understand the current trends and the latest advancements made in the 25 years since the first launch of ROI Certification in 1995.

To gather the data presented in the Benchmarking Report 2019, ROI Institute® conducted the study with existing users of ROI Methodology®. The participants were those who had completed the ROI Certification course offered by ROI Institute® and are responsible for implementing ROI processes within their organization. It is important to note that the survey participants were randomly selected from among those who had completed their ROI certification in the last 5 years.

The study aimed to examine and evaluate the various organizations that were taking the first steps in ROI Methodology®. To that aim, each participant was asked 33 questions in the survey, gathering 246 responses out of a selection of 1,000 participants. The random distribution of participants ensured that a proper cross-section of ROI Methodology® users was represented, allowing for collecting invaluable data related to organized projects and initiatives.

The benchmarking data thus collected has delivered some quite promising and positive results, which are indicative of the massive progress that has been made in a wide range of areas. The data also serves to underline the fact that ROI Methodology® is now the most preferred system of evaluation across the world. More importantly, it has shown demonstrable success in all kinds of industries irrespective of geographic locations.

The report has also helped in identifying areas where improvement can still be made. As per the survey, 59% of the participants already have an evaluation policy in place in their organization. Of course, with time, it is to be expected that this number will go up with the increasing avocation for timely implementation of evaluation plans.

Among the more promising data is that of program evaluation at different levels. 37% of participants reported evaluating their programs at Level 4 Impact, and 18% reported evaluation at Level 5 ROI. This has exceeded the figures recommended by ROI Institute® and only serves to highlight that organizations are taking these measures seriously. This will, of course, be to their benefit as it will bring about improvement in their programs for continued successes in the long run.

The Benchmarking Report 2019 also covers the barriers and enablers to the implementation of ROI methodology. This data will be of help in identifying areas where improvement can be made. For example, participants have recognized that business alignment for the programs is the most important benefit offered by such processes, with 21% of responders agreeing on it.

The Benchmarking Report 2019 can be downloaded here: https://www.roiinstitute-india.com/resources/

Chhat per Chhatpat: Seeing from the eyes of a child, Sakshi Singh comes out with her new bilingual book for kids

It is during crisis that we often seek opportunity, open up and create something new, and discover new doors to the world, within and outside.

After the success of Jalebi Jingles and Rat-a-tat, poet, children’s author and creative writing facilitator Sakshi Singh has come out with her second bilingual book for kids ‘Chhat per Chhatpat’ (To the top)! Available on Amazon Kindle and in paperback, the book is about the playful and innocent world of children, as they navigate a changing world.

At a time when kids are spending more and more time indoors, and no longer have access to parks, beaches and other open spaces during the lockdowns, Chhat per Chhatpat’ is about a child who discovers a little slice of the outdoors –  on the terrace of his building. The child finds joy in the quirky objects that he finds on the terrace and lets his imagination fly.

Illustrated by local artists Sushil Jangam and Haresh Girkar, the book makes use of photos clicked by the author during the lockdown.

“Ever since the lockdown, I have been discovering newer ways to spend time outdoors and feels like the terrace or the roof top seems to be the only option at the moment; given that most public places are closed or have restrictions and public transport is non-existent or limited. It has propelled me to spend more time observing my own terrace, the sky, the little things I see there through the eyes of a child.”

BRAIN DEVELOPMENT- SHOULD NOT BE AFFECTED BY COVID

BRAIN DEVELOPMENT FOR KIDS WITH HEARING LOSS
It has been a tough ride for people all over the world, as we have been living in bondage and restrictions. Our children have been very agitated with this huge change in their life. They cannot meet their friends and physically are not allowed to be in contact with anyone. We too are frustrated with this change but we all are trying to keep everything in control like we wish to. These factors should not hamper the learning processes of the children and we should always know how to push them forward.
The brain’s neural connections are still forming at a maximum rate. Despite the changed environment being offered to them, they are still learning accordingly and simultaneously formulating their theory of mind! The minds at this age are very fertile and they soak up all the information they get. We should not just sit and wait for the lockdown to get over. We should keep in mind some suggestion and points that will help you to get the most out of this situation.
Create a language enriched environment around your child. Every household chore gives us an opportunity to talk about what we are doing, how we are doing and why we are doing. Involve them with you. This will not only facilitate speech and language but also help them to develop good conversational skills. Remember it takes two to talk.
Developing turn taking skills will also lead to good conversational skills.
Spending most of your time with them will also help in developing an emotional bond with them, which is the basis for the emotional quotient development. This EQ factor is very critical during first few years of human life. This time spent with you is always going to stay in their memories.
Stay connected with your therapist / audiologist. Seeking professional help during this period is all the more important. They are the ones who will guide and coach you on how to make the best use of this time. Remember telepractice is a very practical and viable way of learning. This approach is going to make you more independent. So inculcate a learning attitude!!!
Try and match up with the Gen Z generation. Be tech savvy. There are assistive devices available in the market which can get connected with your child’s hearing device which can help them listen better while learning through online platforms. Find out what are the various e-resources available which will help support your child and help his / her holistic growth.
Each day and activity counts for your child. Time doesn’t wait for anyone and it is too precious to be wasted on waiting. We should be careful with everything and learn to live with this. Exploring options and learn to move on is the best thing we can do in these times.
